Dr. Winston Dunn is a transplant hepatologist and gastroenterologist with extensive expertise in metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), alcohol-associated liver disease, and liver fibrosis. He served as Assistant, Associate, and full Professor at the University of Kansas Medical Center before attaining the rank of Professor Emeritus, and currently serves as Principal Investigator and Director of Liver Disease Research at Pinnacle Clinical Research. Dr. Dunn has led numerous phase 2 and phase 3 industry-sponsored clinical trials evaluating novel therapies for NASH/MASH and primary biliary cholangitis, and has secured NIH K23 and investigator-initiated funding to study genetic determinants of liver recovery and cirrhosis regression. He has published widely on noninvasive biomarkers, artificial intelligence in hepatology, and therapeutic development in steatotic liver disease.
