Professor of Translational Hepatology in University College London, Consultant Hepatologist at the Royal Free, London, and Honorary Skou Professor of Hepatology, Aarhus University, Denmark. Posts held include secretary of the British Association for Study of the Liver, and an officer of the EASL education committee and serving the steering committee of EF-CLIF, whilst also on the NHS-England clinical reference group for cirrhosis pathways and transformation. Scientific interests focus on the development of novel therapies and diagnostics for cirrhosis decompensation and management of organ dysfunction.
