About
Iman Fawzy Montasser is a Professor of Tropical Medicine and Hepatology at Ain Shams University, she is a Transplant Hepatologist and Physician Scientist in Ain Shams Center for Organ Transplantation (ASCOT) from 2008 till now. Special research interest in viral hepatitis, Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC),medical genomic research for HCC ,immunosuppression and living donor liver transplantation (LDLT). She has published more than 60 peer-reviewed international publications on gastrointestinal and liver diseases in scientific journals and is a reviewer for many international journals. She is a member of the African Society of Organ transplantation (ASOT), The Transplantation Society (TTS) and the currant chair of Diversity, equality and inclusion (EDI) Committee of the International Liver Transplantation Society (ILTS).Dr Montasser is a part of the Equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) committee of ILTS since 2022 and has actively participated in the ILTS ERAS4OLT consensus conference 2022 .She is the organizer of Regional Expansion Advanced Learning (REAL) for Africa since 2022.Regional leaders for ILTS-THINK collaboration launched in 2025.
