Cosmas Rinaldi A. Lesmana is an Associate Professor and senior consultant in the Department of Internal Medicine, Hepatobiliary Division, Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo National General Hospital, Universitas Indonesia in Jakarta. He is also working at Digestive Disease & GI Oncology Centre (DDOC), Medistra Hospital, Jakarta as well as at Department of Gastroenterology & Hepatology Mayapada Hospital Jakarta Selatan, Jakarta as a senior consultant and interventional endoscopist. He has won several awards for his research. One of his types of innovation research with title "Non-Alcoholic Fatty Pancreas Disease (NAFPD) as A Risk Factor for Pancreatic Cancer based on Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) Examination: A Single Centre Experience" has been selected for presentation during Digestive Disease Week (DDW) meeting, 2017 in USA. Dr Lesmana is a pioneer of "Endo-Hepatology" in Indonesia as well as in Asia, where he published technique innovation on portal pressure gradient (PPG) measurement through endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) guided only using standard manometer. Another cutting-edge innovation study on endo-hepatology with title "The role of endoscopic ultrasound in portal hypertension management in a tertiary public hospital and its future direction for first-line clinical approach" has also been selected for oral presentation at American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) Scientific Forum, DDW meeting, 2023 in USA. He has been invited for giving live demonstrations on EUS-guided liver biopsy at ENDOCON meeting 2023, Indore, India, EUS-guided PPG measurement at Institute of Liver & Biliary Sciences (ILBS), New Delhi, India during International Liver Cancer Course (ILCC) Meeting 2024 and giving lectures for Post Graduate Course on "Endo-Hepatology" during Brainstorming and Updates on Innovations in Liver Diseases (BUILD) Conference, Mumbai, India, as well as APASL meeting 2024, Kyoto Japan. Dr. Lesmana is a member of several professional associations, including as a Fellow of American College of Physicians (FACP), elected as a Direct Fellow of American College of Gastroenterology (FACG) and a Fellow of Indonesian Association of Internal Medicine (FINASIM). He is a member of Asian Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) Group (AEG) and currently, he has been elected as one of Education Sub-Committee member. He has been elected as a member of American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) and member of American Association for Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD). He has published many papers in peer-reviewed international journals.
