Why this Society, right now
The complexity of liver disease and liver transplantation management is increasing—and so is the need for multidisciplinary international collaboration.
Key issues define this collaborative need:
This Network creates a scalable, virtual model of multidisciplinary care and shared experiences that enable clinical, educational and research based expansion within our specialized field.

President's Note
Transplant Hepatology needs a home, where collaboration begins...
Modern liver care is no longer defined by a single specialty.
The most complex patients—those with cirrhosis, liver cancer, portal hypertension, and transplant needs—require coordinated input from multiple experts: Hepatologists, Gastroenterologists, Transplant surgeons and Interventional specialists
We often seek input from colleagues with differing experiences or want collaboration on a project from different regions. Perhaps a patient or a colleague needs international connections. There is no shortage of needs for collaboration. The THINKCOLLABORATIVE was created to address these challenges and bring the field together.
Content on this platform can be from didactic learning or built around multidisciplinary case discussions—mirroring real-world tumor boards, transplant selection meetings, and complex case conferences. Project discussions and collaboration can include research ideas, educational initiatives, training programs and anything participants need.
This collaborative brings together hepatology and transplant providers to create a dynamic, interactive environment to foster international growth of this amazing field.
