Dr. Rakhi Maiwall is a hepatologist and clinician-scientist with expertise in advanced liver disease, acute-on-chronic liver failure, and complications of cirrhosis. Her research has focused extensively on kidney dysfunction in cirrhosis, including acute kidney injury and hepatorenal syndrome, as well as improving outcomes in critically ill patients with liver disease. She is recognized for her contributions to the understanding and management of decompensated cirrhosis and liver failure.
